Career at a glance: Mike Gular began his racing career on the Grandview Speedway high banks in 2000. He's received Most Improved Driver recognition twice from Grandview management (2001 and 2004), earned the 'Horizon Award' as a talented young ambassador of the sport from Penn-Can Speedway (2005). Last October, he was named one of the top young talents in dirt Modified racing by Area Auto Racing News, a widely-circulated auto-racing trade newspaper that spans the East Coast. He has been a top-five points finisher at both Grandview and Penn-Can and cracked the top-10 on the traveling Race of Champions Dirt Modified Tour (2005).  In 2006, Gular took the championship in the special-event ‘Thunder on the Hill’ Series at Grandview, winning an Aug. 22 series race over multi-time track champion Jeff Strunk. He won three ’06 features at Penn-Can. Gular's career took another upward swing in 2007 when he clinched the Modified track championship.
