BECHTELSVILLE, PA - Mike Gular regained form in Tuesday night's Thunder on the Hill Racing Series 25-lap 358-Modified program at Grandview Speedway.

Starting 11th in his self-owned No. 53, Gular fought hard with Meme DeSantis, Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk and others to bring the car home a respectable eighth at the finish.

The top-10 effort came on the heels of an "all-nighter" installing a Larry Lombardo-built 9-to-1 engine in the car to replace the powerplant that expired three days earlier. Gular had picked up the engine Monday night.

"It wasn't a great night, but we ran with all the best," smiled Gular, who was scheduled to start third but was forced to the sixth row after being slated by officials via the S&N Racing team's points status.

Gular returns to Grandview this Saturday with a new sponsor - Gold Rush Trailer Repair - on the car's quarter-panels.
