HARLEYSVILLE, PA - It was one of those nights at Big Diamond (Pa.) Raceway for Mike Gular.
Caught up innocently in a heat-race incident, the THP No. 53 sustained evening-ending damage last Friday night and headed home early.
"We were getting better at Big Diamond every week," said Gular, who had driven from 15th to sixth the previous Friday in the 25-lap 358-Modified main.
Now, attention turns to the THP "summer schedule" of big-block races which will get underway on Tues., June 24 at Bridgeport (N.J.) Speedway with the Wingate Classic paying $4,000 to the winner.
The team will curtail Friday 358-Modified racing at Big Diamond for the time being.
